She-e Wu has recently appeared as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra performing "Imaginary Day" -- Duo Percussion Concerto with Chris Deviney by Pat Metheny. She has also performed at many prestigious festivals including the Bach Symposium/Bach Variation Festival in Lincoln Center; the Taiwan Connection concert at Alice Tully Hall, the International Percussion Festival and InterAmerican Music and Arts Festival Orchestra in Puerto Rico, the Taipei International Percussion Convention, the Percussive Arts Society International Convention and among others. As a chamber and orchestral musician, she has performed with Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Carnegie Hall, Chicago Chamber Musicians, and Philadelphia Orchestra Chamber Music Series. Ms. Wu also performs solo recitals and gives master classes at universities, colleges, conservatories throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Ms. Wu is a proud endorser, clinician and recitalist for the Majestic, Mapex, Innovative Percussion, and Zildjian companies. Ms. Wu performs exclusively on a concert marimba by Majestic with her signature mallets by Innovative Percussion. Ms. Wu is the Head of Percussion program and Associate Professor of Music at Northwestern University. Ms. Wu is also a frequent guest artist teacher at the Royal College of Music in London, and a consultant at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
Ms. Wu will perform selections from her own compositions including the premiere of a work for solo vibraphone.

With our season finale, MGS is giving back to our community by partnering with another local non-profit organization. We have chosen the Womens Resource Center of Greensboro because of the fantastic work they do supporting the women of Greensboro. 50% of all this concerts ticket sales will be donated to the Womens Resource Center of Greensboro.
The mission of the Womens Resource Center of Greensboro is to promote the self-reliance of women by assessing needs, providing services, and acting as a gateway to community resources. In seeking solutions for unmet needs, the WRC provides strategic leadership through collaboration and partnerships within the community. Whatever the challenge - whether divorcing, returning to work, starting a business, dealing with financial difficulties, or coping with family or health problems - the Womens Resource Center is a great place to start.
